Fraunhofer Center for Assistive Information and Communication Solutions – AICOSFraunhofer Portugal participated as a co-promoter of the AAL4ALL (Ambient Assisted Living for All) project proposal, one of the main anchor projects included in the Health Cluster Portugal plan of action, of which Fraunhofer AICOS is a member.
This project is of most significant importance to Fraunhofer AICOS, as it addresses all aspects of medical and social interaction with elderly persons outside of hospitals and doctor offices, being those aspects central to the research activities of Fraunhofer AICOS.
AAL4ALL targets on the definition of a public primary care standard and on mobilizing economy to address the mass market related to the ecosystem that fits to the various social, medical, economic and technical aspects of an AAL solution for the general public.
The project proposal has been submitted to QREN on the 31st of March and a funding decision is expected until July 2010.
