On the last September 16th, a group of representatives from Bosch Germany visited Fraunhofer Portugal and had the opportunity to get to know the activity and work of Fraunhofer AICOS, operated by Fraunhofer Portugal.
In the scope of this meeting, the group visited the premises, contacted with researchers, and was acquainted with the applied research work developed at Fraunhofer AICOS. Some researchers gave an overview and short demonstrations of projects such as EnAware, PIL – Precise Indoor Location and SAFE.
The group of representatives from Bosch was composed of Uwe Raschke (Board of Management), Jens Soenke (Office Director), Frank Seidel (President of Robert Bosch in Spain and Portugal), Carlos Ribas (Representative of Bosch in Portugal; Technical Plant Manager of Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal, SA), Jónio Reis (Plant Manager of Bosch Security Systems - Sistemas de Segurança, SA) and Sérgio Salústio (Engineering Manager of Bosch ThermotechnologyTermotecnologia) and Miguel Santos (Engineering Manager of Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal, SA).
Bosch and Fraunhofer Portugal have already an active collaboration, namely within the EnAware project which developed an ecosystem of smart devices that are orchestrated by a home server and both institutions are planning to reinforce their cooperation in terms of current and future joint activities.
