Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS (FhP-AICOS) was one of the institutions in exhibition at the 3rd TECNET – Business Camp, and brought a prototype from the EyeFundusScope project for demonstration. The Iberian event, which took place in the first week of June, in São João da Madeira, was dedicated to technology, companies, innovation and entrepreneurship.
TECNET is a dynamic initiative, in which entrepreneurs, investors and institutions with a role on economic development through technology and innovation to network in a hi-tech, creative, informal and even leisurely environment.
Several start-ups and other institutions had the opportunity to prepare a pitch to present to potential investors. On the second day, the New Business Development Coordinator of FhP-AICOS, Nuno Felício, presented the EyeFundusScope project for Mobile Screening of Diabetic Retinopathy at the “Pitch 2” stage, with the presence of Scaale Group and Cross Border Angel as jury. A few selected projects will be invited to participate in Web Summit 2017’s ALPHA startup program.
The initiative was organized by SANJOTEC in partnership with PORTUSPARK and TECPARQUES, with the institutional support of the Municipality of S. João da Madeira.
