In a globally connected world, with global challenges requiring purposeful disruptive solutions, AINANOTEC is a Global Innovation Entrepreneurial Programme designed to leverage highly innovative ideas and technologies in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Nanotechnology, and ICT, resulting in the creation of new start-ups.
Targeted towards researchers and entrepreneurs looking to market their ideas or R&D results and outcomes, throughout the period of 2021-2023, the AINANOTEC Programme will provide a unique ecosystem comprised of intensive bootcamp, acceleration and scale-up programmes. Designed with the purpose of matching participants with heterogeneous technical, personal, and professional backgrounds with a renown panel of mentors, coaches, and industry stakeholders, AINANOTEC has the overall goal of contributing to position Portugal as a Centre of Excellence in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The goal of excelling in the field of Artificial Intelligence is materialized through the following activities:
> Attraction, development, and promotion of the economic valuation of technologies, ideas and business models resulting or based on hi-tech activities.
> Availability of the means, resources, competencies, specialized support services and consortium’s international network in the leveraging of technology-based ideas, technologies and start-ups participating in the programme.
> Creation of a synergetic ecosystem for the emergence of opportunities for integration, dialogue, and connection between the scientific and technological domains of Artificial Intelligence, nanotechnology and ICT resulting in technologies/products targeted for scale-up.
These goals are achieved through the strategic combination of the internationally acknowledged scientific and technical competences aggregated in the Consortium compromised of Fraunhofer Portugal, the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) and Inova-Ria.
