Objectives, activities and expected results:
The Smart Health Network project aims to foster and implement training and collaboration actions between entities with relevant activity in medical technologies and digital health in order to develop activities leading to the strengthening of this segment of the regional and national health value chain and to increase its competitiveness.
The training and collaboration actions planned in the project are focused on the specific profiles of the target companies in order to enhance their qualification levels and, thus, leverage their internationalization, ensuring their alignment with market trends and applicable regulations in different international markets. The medical devices (MD) sector will be a particular focus within the project, namely regarding the application of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms applied to MD, since it is an emerging international market for which regulations are only now beginning to emerge.
With the envisioned actions it is intended to increase the competitiveness of the targeted national entities, reducing the time-to-market of new products and increasing the degree of innovation of the solutions to be developed.
