Machine Learning (ML) has been used in different applications to solve problems and enable automation in a wide range of scenarios. Network softwarization and programmabilitythrough Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) can enable the use of ML techniques to realize autonomic networks. Intelligent autonomous network use ML to predict changes in user and network behaviour and adapt the network operation without the intervention of an administrator. Hence, the aim of this project is to contribute with solutions for the development and management of autonomic networks totally based on software taking advantage of ML.
Outcome:
> Acquire knowledge in intelligent networks applying machine learning techniques;
> Develop a solution to empower autonomous network operation.
